Core values
Safety, dignity, and practical hope guide every session. I meet clients without judgment and tailor care to where they are right now.
Credentials and Professional Background
My approach incorporates Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT) to help clients struggling with emotional overcontrol, perfectionism, rigidity, social isolation, and difficulties with vulnerability and connection. I use Brainspotting as a trauma-focused approach to help clients process unresolved experiences, emotional distress, and trauma that may contribute to addictive behaviors and unhealthy coping patterns. Through traditional talk therapy, I also incorporate person-centered counseling, cognitive behavioral strategies, motivational interviewing, emotional processing, and practical coping skills to help clients better understand themselves and create sustainable change.
“Healing begins when people no longer feel they have to perform. My role is to offer a calm, respectful space where change can become possible.”

Faith & Cultural Approach
As a Muslim counselor, I understand the important role that faith, spirituality, and cultural identity can play in addiction recovery and emotional healing. For clients who wish to incorporate Islam into counseling, I offer an understanding of Islamic perspectives on addiction, recovery, self-compassion, accountability, and spiritual well-being. This may include integrating Islamic values, teachings, prayer, and faith-based reflection into the therapeutic process. I strive to create a compassionate, judgment-free environment where clients can explore addiction, trauma, eating disorders, and personal challenges without shame or stigma. While my Muslim background may offer additional comfort and cultural understanding for some clients, my approach remains person-centered, clinically grounded, and respectful of all faiths and beliefs.
